We are an organisation that advocates quality of life for older people and promotes active positive ageing.
We are available Monday to Friday 9.30 - 3.30 for information and assistance with a wide range of age related queries and we offer the following social activities - sit and be fit sessions, fortnightly lunches, indoor bowls, rummikub, cards and housie afternoons as well as a foot care clinic once a month at very reasonable cost.
We also provide services such as Ezee meals and Lifetubes.
All Age Concern branches have knowledge of their local area and can provide information about services that are available for older people.
A range of services and health promotion activities are provided locally by Age Concerns in Hastings, CHB, Napier, Havelock North and Flaxmere.

CLUB HOST RESPONSIBILITY POLICY
This Club has a Host Responsibility Policy designed for the benefit of its patrons. It is committed to being a Responsible Host of a gambling venue.
The Policy is written in accordance with the Gambling Act 2003 and ensures that:
* We only provide gambling opportunities that are considered safe by current New Zealand standards.
* Any new gambling products are least likely to be associated with harm from gambling.
* We only promote gambling activity at our club in responsible ways.
* Access to gambling areas by those prohibited by law from gambling at our venue is responsibly blocked and monitored, and access is not enhanced for others known to be vulnerable to harm from gambling.
* We provide appropriate information to patrons to enable them to assess the risks of gambling in realistic ways and to monitor their own gambling effectively.
* The gambling area of our club is designed to minimise problem gambling behaviours.
* Our club is staffed adequately to ensure that staff are able to monitor patrons for signs of problem gambling. Our staff are instructed and appropriately trained to intervene in appropriate ways when any patron shows signs of problem gambling behaviours.
* We assist the community to deal with gambling-related harm and to plan for future gambling related activity.
* A copy of the Policy is available for perusal by all members in the Club Gaming Area and/or by request from the Club Manager.
The Napier RSA cast the stone into the new millennium and set the pace and standard for service demanded by members, guests, affiliates and visitors. To achieve these objectives the club was fully refurbished, complete with a new generation bar providing a variety of local beer and wines through to internationally acclaimed beverages. As part of our host responsibility programme a comprehensive bar snack menu was included for everyone’s convenience.
The main lounge bar is also our entertainment hub with something different happening every day or night of the week. A comprehensive list of activities are promoted through our table talkers, notice boards and moving screens in the lounge and at reception and of course our web site is updated regularly.
The Club has a variety of activities and facilities to offer you as a member. It has a friendly atmosphere, a quality restaurant, excellent bar facilities with a large selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages at competitive prices, live weekend entertainment, Sky TV, Raffles, Award Winning Art Deco Gaming Facility and for those who are sports minded you can try your hand at Darts, Snooker, Indoor and Outdoor Bowls. We do this by connecting with people from other countries at a personal level; by opening our homes, sharing meals, conversations and the routines of daily life .
The purpose of Friendship Force is to create understanding and respect between people of different cultures as a result of personal connections, besides being a great way to travel and see the world alongside fellow club members with similar interests.
Club members travel experiences are greatly enhanced through the medium of mutual home hosting.
The Napier Club is comprised of members from Napier, Taradale, Hastings, Havelock North and the surrounding area.
Club members meet in Taradale every two months.
