Total Mobility Scheme - Transport for People with Impairments - Hawke's Bay Regional Council

Providing subsidised transport to eligible people with impairmants.

The scheme provides subsidised taxi travel for Hawke's Bay residents, who are unable to use public transport due to a significant, permanent impairment.
It is administered by Hawke's Bay Regional Council, and funded by both the Council and Land Transport New Zealand.

The scheme is free, however the agency which assesses you may charge a small fee if you are not a member of their organisation.

Taradale Senior Citizens Friendship Centre

Activities including cards, tai chi, 3 course lunches, tiki tours once a month, mah-jong, line dancing, rummikub, bowls

Providing lots of different activities giving an opportunity to socialise and be active

Napier Daycare for the Elderly

Napier Daycare for the Elderly provides daycare and support for elderly Napier citizens one day per week providing activities, exercises, morning tea and lunch.Transport can be arranged.

Our Philosophy: We aim to provide care and support in a safe, caring and stimulating environment.

Napier Daycare has been operating since 1987 at the Memorial Square Community Rooms.

We are a voluntary organisation who provide daycare and support for a group of elderly Napier citizens one day a week.

Hibernian Club

The Hibernian has lots of wonderful facilities and activities, including a restaurant, indoor bowls, 8 ball, snooker to name a few. A function room and conference facilities are available.

We have lots of facilities and activities and have a courtesy van on Tues/Thurs/Fri/Sat/Sun from 4pm. There are raffle nights. Smorgasbords on busy nights (bookings essential).

Community Transport Service - New Zealand Red Cross

This service provides transport to appointments at HB hospital for people living inHastings, Faxmere and Havelock North.
A $2 donation is appreciated to assist with the running costs of this service.
